When an illness strikes in developing countries many fear for the worst--death. Since there is such a struggle to feed their families on a daily basis, the thought of going to a doctor or hospital is simply out of the question. Access to medical care in these countries is not as easy as one would hope. Even though some small clinics are available in some areas, the care they offer is very limited and, the majority of the time, ends with a referral to the hospital for additional treatment anyways.
Through our Medical Assistance Program, we can oftentimes be the missing link. From doctor visits and the purchasing of medications, to hospital admittances and surgeries, we help cover the expenses, either in part or in full, that often prevent many from obtaining the care/treatment they need. We believe everyone deserves a chance to a healthy life.
