Faoni'be Hulu

Ever since a flood tore through their village in 2001, Faoni’be Hulu has struggled to provide for his family the basic needs of everyday life. Being a husband and father to six children, he always put himself last. At one point though, he couldn’t take it any longer.  He had been experiencing excruciating pain for quite some time so his family reached out to us for much needed assistance. We sent him to the hospital, about 2 ½ hours from his village, where we found out he had three kidney stones. One was “normal” size, another was pretty big, and the last one was huge. It was so big we don’t even understand how he was moving at all. Since we did not have the funds right away, he unfortunately had to suffer a bit longer. Once we put the word out though, our donors really stepped up to make sure these surgeries were completed for him! Due to the circumstances, the doctor had to remove them all in two separate surgeries.
