“Hi, my name is Ama Ika and I am the older son of Mr. & Mrs. Zebua. After my dad’s passing in 2012, my mom got help from LINC to have a small store--[it was] her dream. Located in the front of our house I helped my mom to build the store. She sold rice, oil, eggs, soap, coffee sachets, etc. She was very happy she could [stay] active. Unfortunately, they had new competition came to their village and sales started to decrease. Mrs. Zebua began to feel a sense of defeat and a loss of hope. It was at that time we, LINC, stepped in once again to strategize and help things pick back up. “[My] mom have a new refrigerator to increase sales. She was very joyful and she have passion again. [Unfortunately] sickness came and my mom passed away in November 2017. Before [passing] she kept telling me to keep the store running. So although she has died the store must keep in there because it meant a lot to her. I want to say thank you very much to LINC for all your love to us. Since [my] dad and mom [passed away], all of you in America is my family. God bless all of you. Ya’ahowu” - Ama Ika
